New Zealand
New Zealand is a wealthy Pacific nation dominated by two cultural groups – New Zealanders of European descent, and the Maori, who are descendants of Polynesian settlers. They named it Aotearoa which means “The Land of the Long White Cloud.”

It is made up of two main islands and numerous smaller ones. The two main islands are the North Island and the South Island and they are separated by Cook Strait.
The North Island is long and contains volcanos, hot springs and beautiful geysers. South Island has the Southern Alps along its west coast; Mount Cook being the highest point.
Other inhabited islands include Stewart Island, the Chatham Islands, and Great Barrier Island.
